Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC)

The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program is a federally funded initiative that supports high-quality afterschool and summer learning opportunities for students attending high-poverty and low-performing schools. Through academic enrichment, tutoring, youth development activities, family engagement, and career-readiness programming, 21st CCLC programs help students strengthen academic performance, build confidence, develop life skills, and access safe, supportive environments outside of regular school hours.

Program Description

IGB Elevate is a 21st Century Community Learning Centers program that provides afterschool and summer enrichment for students in grades 6–12. The program serves students from Eastside High School, Abraham Lincoln Middle School, Westwood Middle School, and eligible private schools in the Gainesville area.

Located at The One Community Family Resource Center, IGB Elevate offers tutoring, homework help, reading support, enrichment activities, career exploration, and wellness programming in a safe and supportive environment.

Students participate in activities focused on academic achievement, financial literacy, socio-emotional wellness, critical thinking, communication skills, college and career readiness, and physical wellness. The program also provides family engagement opportunities through workshops on mental health, literacy, financial education, and postsecondary planning.
